Beekeeper Honey Event

Beekeeper Honey Event

Did you know that there are beehives on the roof of Crystal Peaks?   The hives have been here since 2009, providing a home to 70,000 bees. This is an important project as honeybee colonies across the world have been dying out at an alarming rate.  Bees play an essential role within the eco-system pollinating a vast number of wildflowers and 25% of the food that we eat.  Honeybees are responsible for pollinating crops such as apples, pears, peaches, strawberries, blackberries, carrots, broccoli and onions.    Our beekeepers from Orchard Lane honey will be  here on Saturday 1st November to give you a chance to taste and purchase some of the local honey that they produce here and in the local area. We are proud of our Crystal Peaks Honey which is a lovely thick honey with a hint of almonds. So why not come down and give it a try (whilst stocks last).
